Esperance Bay Turf Club's Annual Family Day Event in Support of Dolly’s Dream

The Esperance Bay Turf Club committee hold an annual Family Day event in support of Dolly's Dream. Committee member Chelsi Forder says, "our aim was to create a fun-filled, happy environment for families to attend, whether race goers or not, and to enjoy a day out in a safe environment. The racing industry has always been a big advocate of checking on each other when times are tough. We hope to bring that focus to help the Esperance town and even the wider communities when someone needs a shoulder to lean on. Nobody is alone in our community, and we encourage everyone to, in the words of Dolly, "Speak even if your voice shakes".

"Although our club puts in a tonne of effort to make this day possible with our voluntary committee, we still could not do it without the support of our beautiful town community in Esperance. Businesses have been so willing to provide such generosity towards prizes for the children, raffles, and the silent auction. Local stores and businesses helped to sell raffle tickets, hang posters, voice the word of mouth about the event and much more. It is all so humble the feeling."

The Esperance Bay Turf Club's Family Day event has successfully raised over $7k in support of Dolly's Dream since it started in 2022.
